About us

After many years of experience in breeding and sports, Rudy Rienstra founded stud farm De Terpen. Since 2021, partner Wietske Rienstra - Bosma, together with her daughters Byonne and Frida, have joined. With all of them a lot of experience in breeding and sports, stud farm De Terpen continues. 

Team The Terps

Rudy Rienstra

Rudy Rienstra is the founder and owner of the Terpen. He has many years of experience with Frisian horses in breeding, Frisian stallions and especially a lot of experience with insemination. Especially Frisian horses but also KWPN horses with sports quality can be found on the farm.

Wietske Rienstra - Bosma

Wietske Rienstra-Bosma is his wife and she also works at the company. She helps with all the usual activities and is actively involved behind the scenes with buying and selling horses.

Byonne

Byonne is a daughter and she is fully employed at the Terpen. She rides and trains the horses and brings them out in the sport. Makes the horses, especially Frisian stallions, ready for inspection and all the work that goes with it.

Frida

Frida is a daughter and is studying Integral Safety at a higher professional level. She also helps out at the company with all the usual tasks. She also rides the company's horses.
